Why would Ethiopia benefit from chaos in Somalia?

Sometimes I wonder if pro-Ethiopia S-landers are either brainwashed or secretly see themselves as part of Ethiopia.

What kind of question is that?

Ethiopia sees us as an existential risk and has been trying to destabilize Somalia since their last ruling emperor.

If we somehow ever get the Galbeed back or support a successful Oromo secession then Ethiopia will crumble within a year.

A chaotic weak divided Somalia won't have the resources to pull that off.

Although it's unlikely we'd want to fight over that useless land but Ethiopia won't take any chances with it's existence at risk.
