Is this for people who are starting university next year or is it for everyone?
This is for everyone except those who already graduated or are graduating in the 2024/2025 academic year. Starting September 2025, everyone else will have to pay extra
Maintenance loans are increasing by 3.1% a year (£414) but that’s still more debt for uni students

Uni loans basically work out as paying 15 pence for every £1 you earn for the rest of your working life.
The crazy thing is the average salary is 30k

This is true. The issue at hand isn't necessarily the increase in university fees, its that the UK salary/wages are so poor and low compared to US for eg, it makes it so unappealing to go. Honestly, earning above £50k even after uni + years of experience puts you in rare company.

Not really. It really counts on how to want to get your bachelors degree. For instance some student are going to associate degree and then a bachelor degree.With this option you can get your full education in 4 years . for instance associate degree is two community college each class is only 300 dollar and each class is 3 credits. You'll need 60 credits for your associate degree in total you'll spend 6k for that degree. Now once you transfer to a university for you last two yours each class is nearly 900 and they are 3 credits and you'll need 60 credit for your bachelors degree.In total you spend 18k. For your full education it total amount you spend nearly 24-30 k once you add books and fees.
