You know this is the thing that seems so funny to me. The Nazis as I understand it were white nationalists built around this cult of "Aryanism" and wanted to reverse Western decline, to achieve some of greatness for European civilization... and then it seems the main thing they accomplished was killing millions and millions of "Aryans" and getting these "Aryans" to slaughter each other other on a mass scale.

Then again, I think it's kind of a pattern with super fanatical nationalist groups for some reason. I read some Sendero Luminoso propaganda from Perú and they were espousing this fanatical Peruvian nationalism but then meanwhile their actual "accomplishments" were basically just killing a bunch of Peruvians.

Same thing with those fanatical about the Mad Mullah.

Dervish’s proclaimed goal was to free Somali territory and Somali people from foreign occupation. They ended up fighting mostly Somalis and accomplished nothing but misery and mass murder against Somalis, culminating in the death of 1/3 of the northern Somali population. The colonisers continued to rule the land until they willingly left in 1960.

And yet you have Somali nationalists supporting thrm.

I wear my poppy in remembrance of the brave, fallen Nazis who fought valiantly to bankrupt Europe so that they couldn't afford to continue occupying their colonies anymore.

at college i did it first time, second year and univertsy i refused to stand and do it,

think about it, in 1911 My Ogaden ancestors were fighting the british in somaliand, Jubaland and NFD, so why the hell should i stand and salute them

also you are right, if the nazis did not bankrupt them, they would never have left Africa and muslim nations in the middle east , this is the only reason the UK left, they did not do it out of love, economics forced them,

in fact the french were so bankrupt n 1955 the US was paying the french 300 million each year to stay until the Vietcong kicked them out, the US stepped in, if the US did not step yet millions would have been saved and no agent orange that creates disabled kids to this day,

i hate those who wear it, only ex slaves would wear that, its an insult to my awows who fought back in Jubaland, Ogadenya and Sayidka in somaliland etc,

You two are probably daacuun-ridden Ogadens init :mjlol: Anyways may Allah bless the RAF fighter pilots who bombarded Mad Mo and his band of camel raiding thugs :rejoice:

with out the great Sayidk fighting the British, you would be a christian today eating pork and having your sisters and females relatives cucked ifront of you with no ceep,

be grateful God sent Ogadens like Sayidka and Daroods like Said barre to save the 1door and somali race time and again,

I've been saying this for long. The mad mullah frequently attacked and stole Somali stock and killed them.

I think its a symbol of respect. But, many people get emotional about this subject every year with regards to the poppy. personally, I think people should wear it for remembrance. Furthermore, that's Xalimo in question deserves to be condemned because of what she has said which is totally reprehensible. Those xalimos in question are the type of women that would throw out farax just to get benefits or divorce him just because she makes more money.

Basically, The remembrance poppy is an artificial pin on flower that has been used to commemorate military personnel that died in the wars (Specifically the Great War (WW1) )
Why Poppy : Because it used to grow on the fields. There is even a famous poem about it

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Apart from British colonial sources, are there any trusted primary sources that calls the Sayid a terrorist who killed people? Trusting what some racist imperialist said about the Sayid 100 years ago would be like trusting what a master has to say about his slave or what a rapist had to say about his victim. A person who relies on colonial sources too much would either be ignorant or has some sort of inferiority complex or he could have a qabiil (Clan) agenda. I don't know much about the Sayid myself but I've seen people (Especially on Twitter) make a lot of claims about him so I'm just curious to know what really happened.

Well look at the sources urself. Sure they might mostly be British but what else do u expect? Somali sources are limityed whereas British ones are clear and accessible. But I def get what u mean, his image might have been smudged somewhat but then again I'm not an expert myself. What I do know is that he at least fought the British colonialists, at least that's something.

No chance dawg. My great-grandfather served in the SCC during WWII but I'll never wear a poppy voluntarily. f*ck the british. Any reer somaliland, who bootyclaps for the british are a smudge on our name.
I meant the Black People/Asians living in the West at the time, not the colonies. Should have worded it better tbh.

He was a warrior of Islam that fought the infidels. Any clan that opposed him and sided with the British he considered non Muslim which corresponded with sacking of their cattle and mass murder. Which, is what they deserved for siding with infidels against their own Muslim brothers.

I'm not an expert on this so I wouldn't say he mass murdered clans (Killing innocents) and stole their cattle. It's only British colonial sources claiming him to be some sort of monster, I don't believe their claims. He was a rebel so there obviously going to lie about him and spread all sorts of deceptive propaganda.

He probably only killed enemies on the battlefield and when he defeated them, all their battle possessions belonged to the dervishes. This is something normal in war, when you defeat someone, you take their tanks, Guns, camels, swords and everything they had on the battlefield.

@Timo Madow and proud @Ayubi I found this. This is the damage caused by the Mullah to Dulbahantes

Are there any source reference for these claims? The story of the girl being sold for timir had nothing to do with the dervishes. It's just someone telling the story.

I could tell where you got all these screenshots from, you got them from Twitter. Usually anonymous Isaaq (Sometimes MJ) twitter trolls are using these screenshots in their arguments with Dhulbahante's on twitter. If they came from British colonial sources, I would simply disregard them as colonial propaganda. The man (The Sayid) was a rebel against the British so they would obviously lie about him in order to bring down his rebellion. They made up a bunch of BS such as the "Mad mullah" killing his wife whose the daughter of Sultan Osman.
