It is just a bunch of Assad loyalists, shia, nusayris, christians, druze etc told to protest by Iran.

Once the Sunnis captured their country they declared amnesty and told the Assad loyalists to hand in their weapons and will be forgiven and left to live in peace.

As soon as they got the chance they started unrest, killing Sunni security forces and a Sunni woman. They have been issuing threats and are being encouraged by Iran. They even hid weapons. And kidnapped some Sunnis boys but the security forces rescued them and arrested the kidnappers.

After all the crimes they did over the decades they were given a chance to live in peace and resorted to their expected treachery and crimes.

No one should cry for them now that there will be a crackdown.

Common sense says it was inevitable when the new Syrian government said they granted amnesty to all soldiers.

No official list of war criminals has been made yet and the Shabiha are roaming free in the coastal regions. Their biggest mistake was not rounding up all the officers up at the start so the population can calm down and move on.

They were arrested the generals but granted forgiveness to conscripts.

I think they were modeling after the Prophet SWS conquering Mecca and granting amnesty to the mushrikeen there.

The Taliban did the same thing in Afghanistan.

But the shia have proved their treachery once again and even with that started killing random Sunnis and chanting sectarian slogans in the streets. Even killed a Sunni woman and kidnapped Sunni boys.

All at the behest of Iran they want a sectarian war.

They will be cracked down on now and cleared out, doubt it will work out the way the Iranians want.

Once again they are proving Irans obsession is with killing/oppressing and controlling Sunnis as history and recent history has always shown. They could have changed course after this loss but they’d prefer more strife.

There is no choice but for another civil war, HTS terrorists are targeting Ahlu Bayt Muslim’s most holiest sitez. First it was Zainab bint Cali then it was Ruqqayah bint Hussayn.
