Before I begin this thread i want to say that, that i first believed and advised others to act in this manner.
“Don’t speak about other issues that don’t involve somalis as it draws unwanted heat to us”
Why do i go against this notion now?
It’s because the idea that Somalis will not get dragged if we hide in a shell and don’t make our presence known is laughable and untrue as history has repeatedly shown us.
Here are examples of scenarios that somalis get dragged for doing absolutely nothing. Each of these examples you probably seen dozens of times play over if you been on this site for any meaningful time.
The right to freedom of speech is something utilised by everyone else but somalis gotta muzzle themselves for something that is out of their control.
It’s totally backwards its like telling a victim of bullying to be more silent and discreet so they don’t get bullied rather than deal with the issue at hand.
In the year coming 2025 i want you to start every controversial post on social media with “As a somali”
Thats a joke don’t do that but we shouldn’t have the idea persist that we should be silent and meek.
I wanna hear your idea and thoughts about this and if you have a counter point i want to hear it.

Instant rage from ajanabi’s about how bad Somalia is and how we shouldn’t be proud and anything.
- A Somali shows any pride in their features.
Constant talks about how somalis are colourists or featurist and anti black.
