Visiting Las Anod/Burco

Burco is the best urban planned city in Somaliland, that is a fact. All it needs now is development and investment. Hargeisa is too late to start over but looking at it from above is a travesty.

There were zero good restaurants there. Had to force myself to eat the food there..

Then i guess you never went to gereshka gashamo and dahiro is dhegayso where they had some mean hilib geel joints or indhodeeros hotel where you could get anything from chicken to burgers. city plaza, titanic all those hotels have good food, burco have cleaner and better food and is much cheaper than hargeisa.

You should definetly go, i visited my family in bosaso and gaalkacyo 2 years ago.

Plaza is quite far away from the city. I went to the Qolis restaurant orhow tf it's spelled, and the food there was crap. Even my aunt who lived in Burco said that the food in Hargeisa was better than there. At least they had Shani tho

That refugee camp was called Utanga and it existed from 1991-1993, Utanga was located in a lush farm area outside Mombassa deep inside Kenya. For those who had fled Mogadishu and Kismayio in 1991.
