Pure incompetence, I rather have muslim Turks then AU troops, same religion, a vested interest that the SNA troops learn and are capable.
No foreign government has a vested interest in a strong SNA except really the US/West and they tried and failed because of corruption.
Turkey is in Somalia for business and bases. A strong SNA will erode their position. They want to make sure SNA it is just strong enough to keep their assets safe but no stronger than that.
That was what I was implying, they probably don't want their elite troops in any danger in a foreign country, either way FGS is in a pretty crappy position due to lack of leadership.

The unfortunate problem I foresee is that once they leave SNA will just return to incompetence and be destroyed. Turks or any other babysitter can’t stay forever. Once you stop taking your medicine the disease just comes back.

Not only that but if you see your leaders stealing and looting everyday and not giving a shit about your country will you willingly fight and die for them for a few hundred a month? That has to be part of the equation too.
Either that or another coup, if there is a competent military leader, he will either hide until he can amass power or will get assassinated.

The same US/West that listened to Meles Zenawi who saw the SNA as a threat and rejected Turkeys idea of fully arming and building a strong SNA from the start instead of all these Amisom mercenaries?

Anyways, I dont know what to expect. In a dream world, we find oil and Turkey helps build our SNA and we rebuild our country with all its glory. However, in this cutthroat world things could flip with Turkey becoming frustrated and getting tired of Somali politicians incompetence and corruption, and in turn disengaging from state building initiatives leaving the SFG isolated again.
The international community is keeping us handicapped and we are not free to do as we please. If HSM was smart he would've replaced all the Amisom gaalo troops /bases including Ethiopians with Turkish/Egyptians/Azerbaijan/Pakistani with a goal of securing the whole country within 5 years and also disarming the whole southern population and controlling illegal arms entering the country.
Solving things militarily though is the least of our problems. The biggest issue in Somalia is political cohesion and stability, and how serious those in charge are in wanting to change their situation.

Since 2012 they were invested in FGS and SNA you bringing up old history to try and bury the fact that the prime fault lies with the powerful interest groups in the FGS.
No one wants anymore excuses from failed FGS supporters.

somaliland gave me fucking depression i had to go back to djibouti to get my sanity back, my mother brings my siblings to somaliland so that they can appreciate their western life, for me after i came back from somaliland i was an A+ student, somaliland is right at the bottom and so hoplesss that it made me a smart student
