saying that abu lahab had tawheed but he had incomplete tawheed is an innovation outside sunnism.Saying salafism is a recent trend is an ignorant take my brudda
The usage of the salaf by modern salafis is just a rhetorical strategy.Scholars used to refer to the salaf since day even scholars from the salaf like imam ash-shaf'i used to refer to the scholars before him
Who said that?saying that abu lahab had tawheed but he had incomplete tawheed is an innovation outside sunnism.
Ikhwanis weren't salafis neither was sayid qutb mateThe usage of the salaf by modern salafis is just a rhetorical strategy.
To understand modern salafism you should first understand historically there have always been reform movements in islam across the muslim world. But what makes salafism unique is that it emerges from a combination of wahabbism which is an extremely radical Saudi movement. Combined with eygptian reformist who were the actual first salafis and who with the emergence of printing in 19th century eygpt were able to rediscovere all the medieval Islamic texts which had been lost for hundred of years. So in a real sense there guys were the equivalent of Protestants who emerged with the printing press.
Global salafism emerged when a lot of these eygptian salafis who were in groups like the muslim brotherhood fled to saudi arabia and in the mid to late 20th century and taught at saudi universities.
Sayyid qutb was an eygptian for example.
You realize that the founder of the Muslim brotherhood was Hassan Al bana who is a salafi right? And sayyid qutub was one of the fathers of salafi jihadism which is groups like al qaida or isis.Ikhwanis weren't salafis neither was sayid qutb mate
