Corruption is never really removed once a corrupt lowlife leaves another comes in. It’s a never ending cycle. It’s up to the people of Somalia and the government to put an end to it. If SL had proper leaders this past 30 years it would’ve been at least a middle income country with good infrastructure and a strong military, it’s a region full of potential laakin our leaders only care about suitcases of cash and mansions in foreign countries.
Think that's impossible with unrecognised status, independence means nothing if know one would work with you. They did the best they could with the limited funds available. Tell me what other unrecognised nation has their passport accepted by 30+ countries.
And had to build a reputation to pursuade others, and reputation takes years to earn.
But it finally is on a path and after the elections on 31st things can only go up.
Countries are not made in 10-30 years they take hundreds and Somaliland is still a work in progress.
You're argument is invalid about "Somaliland has nothing to show for its independence"
If we were recognised than maybe that can be discussed.
