I just want to thank you for being honest, it takes great courage and self reflect to look at things from a different perspective. Unfortunately there's nothing good that comes from qabiil and it should be left alone.
Even though I have completely removed myself from qabiil equation, I still have to deal with being labeled and put in a box and have my intentions questioned in real life. I have seen wadaads, atheist, alcoholics, fob, college educated and so on who all have one thing in common <hardcore qabyaalad>. It is the single denominator of all our problems. I even see kids who can't speak a word of Somali but know qabiils inside out and qabiil stereotypes.
Getting back to the point, the process of reclaiming ur identity and becoming an individual starts with admitting your qabiil as just as guilty as the qabiil u have been taught were the source of all the problems.
Inshallah I have hope for the future
