There is nothing called 1-5 % Ethiopian or EritreanMost Somalis, especially before the new update, would get like 1-5% "Ethiopian/Eritrean". Let's see you not get "Southeast African" and "Middle-Eastern" and then we shall speak.

Both regions are predominantly cushitic with 80% the minority Semitic are mostly sematised cushites like alot of amhara have agew in them just like Tigrayans.
Also add the fact that the remaining " real" semites in Ethiopia/ Eritrea have Cushitic admixture.

over 70% of the population is made up of Amhara, Tigre, many Oromos and similar groups (like Gurage, Harari etc..) who definitely identify as being Ethiopians, and are genetically and culturally close enough.
