If they fought their urges honestly for the sake of Allah i would say the same but I suspect most are doing it to save face or because of ceeb. Also because they don’t do it for the sake of Allah, their anger and shame comes out in the form of misogyny, abuse and brutality against their women and child abandonment. I was born in Dubai and raised between it and Sharjah and even worked right in Downtown by Burj Khalifa and this is news to me. Somalis don't often work such low jobs in the UAE, at least as women. For instance, the only people Somalis ever become housekeepers for are other Somalis who pass them off as relatives staying with them because it's not allowed here for people from Arab League countries to work as housekeepers. Never participated in such degeneracy myself but a close childhood friend of mine lived in the seediest most prostitute infested part of Dubai all throughout our childhoods into our early to mid 20s and the only hookers I ever saw were SE Asian, Slavic, Ethiopian and maybe the odd Moroccan or something like that. Never heard of or seen a Somali even once and I knew degenerates who slept with hookers too and again; never any mention of Somalis. Not saying you're lying just that this is news to me.

I've been back there several times myself and so have many relatives and I've noticed there is some odd stuff going on behind the scenes. Lowkey gay dudes, more young people than you'd think who aren't virgins and so forth. It's not as saintly there as folks think. I even heard crazy stories about girls getting pregnant, running off for like 4-6 months of their pregnancy, somehow getting rid of the baby (giving them away) then coming back to their parents unencumbered.

I think a more cohesive society that has strong social and religious values will have an environment where everything that deviates from that norm will stick out much more than here in the West, where the same thing is normalized. Okay that's just taking it a bit far, abaayo. If this were the case then 99% of odays would be gay. Everyone knows most Somali odays just like to sit in their cafes all day and indulge in FKD, conspiracy theories and *gasp* gossip. Yeah, it was definitely not as bad as the west. Even when people are degenerates back home they're usually lowkey about it and many are even ashamed of what they're doing but just do it due to a weakness in character. It is not normalized or accepted by the wider society. You are not going to walk around Bosaso or Hargeiso and see some girl in booty shorts or a couple holding hands.
