Ive been noticing that most Somali people have a general last name that if youd go around asking what your last name to ten people four of them would have the common last name but yet not be related. What do you think are popular last names?

Yeah somalis do change their last names. At least in Somalia. Let's say a friend's name is Ali Ahmed Yusuf and he had a son. The son's full name would be Samatar yusuf Ahmed
