apparently what they call "malawach/malawax" is similar to our sabaayad. ive heard some oromos/ethiopians eat this too and call it "mulawah"

It was a bait, I wanted to see if he’s one of those people who think if we have a similar dish with another country, that we borrowed it and not the other way around.

If he said that we borrowed it from them, I would’ve divulged the info that they’re in fact separate.
