I actually think very different than other people. Most people think about the world divided into different ethnicities, a world with borders.

I see my world more as a world with no borders; a world of ideologies. So I see Christians as a separate entity than Muslims.
Doesn't matter to me what you're ethnicity is tbh. I would see them as any other Christian.

The modern term Ethiopian was popularized by Haile Selassie. The word you are referring to is Abyssinian (high landers)
For example I am an Ethiopian if you talk about it from a technical point of view since I'm from the Somali region and that region comes under the governance of the FDRE.
Learn to choose your words carefully.
