There’s nothing positive about being known as a jester be it from a communal or individual aspect simply because you’ll never be taken seriously. I’ve never been a fan of it.

It kinda depends for me. Sometimes it is definitely giving "we're laughing at you, not with you" vibes from ajnabis which I hate. Especially if they're making fun of their somaliness for a mostly white audience. Gives the same vibes of white people calling africans "funny".

But I think sometimes it is an "I'm laughing with you" situation. Like remember that "she ain't no diva girl" lmaooo

Us being funny, having big foreheads, being scared of dogs and not passing the ball in sports are the stereotypes I grew up on. Mostly harmless unless someone was trying to be malicious with the forehead jokes, which was always easy to tell anyway.

You forgot the “wallahi” part which could be heard in the radius of within 3km and how white people learned where the word came from (will only say wullah to you).
