Balknization, Issaq don't wanna be ruled by Hawiye or Darood, Majeerteen don't wanna be ruled by anyone besides Majeerteen, Hawiye don't mind having nonhawiye president. It's a tough situation walahi

After pondering for a long time, I've came up with the same conclusion. Qabiil cannot coincide with any modern state.

But how can we destroy it? :mjcry:

Illegalizing marriages within the same clan and actively enforcing marriages with enemy clans. One day, we'll all just be Somali with no clans. :icon lol:

Abandoning qabiil is a dumb thing and even if it happened we will still be divided.
People in here think that Somalia would thrive after we abandon qabil in reality Identity politics are ingrained in our culture, we will end up from issaq and darood fighting to the north and south fighting.
Fix the cultural problems that we have and then think about qabil

It's too damn HOT!
A central government that can focus on rebuilding the streets cities and buildings. A government that can prioritize education and medical institutions and provide others as needed. We need a stable and strong government with leaders that can help build the country.

  • Unification
  • Embrace secularism.
  • Order any foreign military to GTFO.
  • Round up the military and invade the south. Check every house for terrorists.
  • Institute and enforce anti-drought laws and promote modern and sustainable agricultural methods.
  • Secure our waters.
  • Change the capital to a city that is traditionally owned by a minority clan and then bring in a large and equal amount of all the major clans.
  • Fix any retarded deals concerning our natural resources and ports.
  • Invest in local businesses and companies that show potential.
  • Make a sustainable tax plan and REFORM the government.
  • Encourage migration into other clan territories. Force feed anti-secessionism and anti-tribalism and promote unionist brotherhood propaganda.
  • Invest in renewable energy.
  • Industrialize as fast as possible and invest in local industries.
  • Create new agencies within the government that we don't currently have,
  • Reinstate the eye of the government, the NSS. And monitor any anti-government sentiments and promote hippie and relaxed versions of Islam.
  • Advance a cultural revolution.
  • Start a massive tree planting campaign that should beautify our country. These rocky deserts look fucking depressing.
  • Heavily fine anyone who mentions qabil. Punish parents that teach kids about it.
  • Make a giant museum and dig deeply into Somali studies.
  • Prosper and God bless Somalia.:salute::fittytousand:

These I agree with.

  • Investigate all officials and execute them if there is any suspicion of corruption.
  • Assassinate all prominent qabilists.
  • Illegalize birth control until we get a population of at least 100 million.
  • Illegalize same-clan marriages.
  • Send spies into all our neighbors that become politicians acting within Somalia's interests.
  • Illegalize Khat, cigarettes, and drinks with high alcohol levels.
  • Cripple Kenya, Ethiopia, and Djibouti by funding rebel groups. Make sure Ethiopia is balkanized and absorb Ogaden and Djibouti. Meanwhile, take back NFD by claiming human rights abuses as the Kenyans desperately attempt to crack down on the rebel groups

These I don't agree with.

No one should be assassinated for doing anything illegal. I would rather have these people arrested and sent to prison. Everyone should have a right to a fair trail.

I would rather the population grow naturally and in pace with the country's wealth. Parents should not be having more children than they can financially take care of.

The government should have no say in who someone is married to.

You know how prohibition turned out for America right? It doesn't work, and all it does is feed into the black market. That's lost tax revenue going to criminals. The government should not have any say in the personal lives of others as well. I'm not sure what the drug problem in Somalia is like, but that should be treated as a health issue and not a criminal one.

I don't think it's a good idea spending money that can be used on fixing the country to arm rebel groups. Look how that has turned out for America. Instead I say fix the country, once we have a well equipped army, we can think about strong arming Ethiopia into giving us back Ogaden. Djibouti will join back with Somalia once they see how nice it has become.

Is NFD northern Kenya? I'm not exactly sure what that is.

Majority of geopolitical problems can be solved diplomatically. Armed conflict should be the last thing on our minds...

Valid. But that doesn't change the fact that we have a minuscule population.

America and Somalia aren't the same. I think most people would agree with my opinion. Until we figure out what's going on, it should be illegal. You make a good point with the tax revenue though. It should be heavily taxed.

Djibouti is basically a foreign prostitute. I doubt any colonials would allow that to happen with it's strategic location. I didn't specify that we should only fund the rebels after we become a stable and prosperous. And yes, NFD is referring to the Northeastern part of Kenya which is part of Greater Somalia.

I agree with this, although violence is still necessary. There is not a prosperous country today that hasn't struggled and suffered.

With a proper legal system, there will be a high conviction rate of criminals.

Valid. But that doesn't change the fact that we have a minuscule population.

20 million world population of Somalis isn't small. That's a good base to grow from. It just makes more sense to have proper family planning, and well educated children. It's difficult for parents to raise too many kids properly.

Yeah they aren't the same, but a lot of countries have tried prohibition. It doesn't work. If people want to chew khat or smoke they will find a way. Then you have the issue of jailing people for using substances that have no effect on anyone but them. Excluding second hand smoke, and DUI. There could be legislation in place for those problems though. Taxing and educating about not abusing substances is the better way to go.

Qaat is a burden on our society it can't be banned know but we should teach our children how bad it's and the islam disagrees with it and then ban it

Give Somaliland independence with several guidelines.

1. Borders made by British will be used.

2. Clan politics will be eliminated.

3. A new government will be voted in.

4. Somaliland must support itself, show that it can fight droughts and develop a basic economy before full independence is given.

1. Get Somalia out of this trouble.
2. Settle with IMF
3. Grow ties with China
4. Invite oil companies
5. use oil funds to build oil pipe line and standard railway to deliver all goods to ports and that connects to Somaliland, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Problem:
Qabil
Extremism
Laziness
Drugged up men not working.
Giving up hope

Solution:
Create more jobs , somali job market is too narrow we should start mining revive our agricultural dhagan and fishing.
Snip the bud of extremism wherever we may find them.
Ban khat and if your caught selling or consuming 5 yeas of jail time.
Laziness will decrease when jobs are created and khat is outlawed.
Qabil shall be mocked and our education system should teach the upcoming generation what qabil has caused and why its bullshit.

It will take years but worth it , highly doubt it tho. (^^^^ plan mostly for somaliland haven't been somalia don't know the issues there personally other than extremism)

The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty -- Why Nations Fail by Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson

Extractive and Inclusive political Institutions

"There is obviously a close connection between pluralism and inclusive economic institutions. But the key to understanding why South Korea and the United States have inclusive economic institutions is not just their pluralistic political institutions but also their sufficiently centralized and powerful states. A telling contrast is with the East African nation of Somalia. As we will see later in the book, political power in Somalia has long been widely distributed--almost pluralistic. Indeed there is no real authority that can control or sanction what anyone does. Society is divided into deeply antagonistic clans that cannot dominate one another. The power of one clan is constrained only by the guns of another. This distribution of power leads not to inclusive institutions but to chaos, and at the root of it is the Somali state's lack of any kind of political centralization, or state law and order to support economic activity, trade, or even the basic security for its citizens"
