What is the most accurate population data for Somalia?

Somalia is huge and has too many cities. It's probably closer to 20mil
Don't know if I'd cosign your guess but it is insane how big it truly is. It only fully occurred to me when I was in Bosaso and we were going to road trip to Garowe. I was so used to UAE distances all my life and figured maybe we were in for 2-3 hours? I was in shock when the driver explained to me that it would be an 8 hour trip.
If you go from Cape Guardafui down to Ras Kambooni you're looking at a distance comparable to NYC down to Miami as the crow flies:
And this is without counting the length added to the coast once you consider northern Bari and SL. Not to mention when you consider the rest of Somaliweyn with Galbeed, NFD and Jabuuti in terms of land added. Somaliweyn is comparable in size to the eastern USA. Crazy to think about. Northeast Africa is not a small place.

I truly think there are 50 million+ Somali's in Somalia. Somalia has the highest birth rate in Africa. These numbers they put out is to demoralize Somali's and to inbolden our neighbors to invade due false information. For instance the amount of Somali's in northern Kenya nfd area census was recently taken and they had to do a recount due to the Kenya government amenting they had lied on the census of the amount of Somali's in nfd area or Somali in Kenya. This can also be said about Ogandan Region Ethiopian government states Somalis are the third largest community in Ethiopia, but they don't put correct numbers up due them not wanting Somali to know there true numbers

The Somali ethnic population count has to be done by people without an agenda. I mean, in Ethiopia, they say the Somali population is 6% of the country, which I doubt is true. I’m sure they aren’t counting the Somalis who live in other states or chartered cities. I think it’s the same in Kenya. So, unless we get a truly reliable source to conduct the count, I wouldn’t trust it.

How's that delusional if you already have seating unelected president in Somalia? Do you know how a census is conducted? How will you conduct a census which is harder then conducting a election due to a census is only done once every ten years?There are couple of things Somalia is missing to conduct a accurate census for instance does each house or apartment in Somali have a mail box or restrictly for that house hold? Does Somalia have accurate way of processing that collected information in accurate way? What about the people who live out I the dense wooded area who are nomads how is there information collected and how many families are like that ? I think you're delusional if you think Somalia can conduct a census if 70 percent of the population in government office have not attended college for there position.

Now if we are looking at this map of eastern regions of America the population size is nearly 170 million Americans. You think that there is only 18 million Somali's in Somalia 50-60 million is a feasible number. I'm addition we have 10 million Camels in Somalia. Now how will you have 18 million Somali's and 10 million Camels?

There are about 18 million Somali's that live in Ogandan Region. Somali's are the 3 biggest ethnic groups in Ethiopia.
Somali region is 7-8 million max. Somalia is probably 19-20 million, majority of the land is empty.
