What word similarities do we share with Ethiopians?

Do you suppose these were East cushites (Oromo, Somali, etc)? Been seeing a lot of evidence of that lately in places you would not expect.

I read the amharas loaned some of these words from Agaws. But who knows, really. The whole region from north Sudan to Tanzania consisted of folks with similar materiel culture as the archeology, languages and cave paintings show.

I don’t have a pic but they look like the other ones I see online, perhaps more yellow/brown looking maybe.

I do prefer the Somali version either way. I think it’s much more versatile, it can be sweetened with oil and sugar with a crunchy outside and soft inside, or a little more sour to pair with meats and stews or just liver and onions. The Ethiopian one is a one trick pony imo, just good to go with their sauces and not much else.

I’ve had their food twice and it was Qashin.
