Whats the true political solution to somalia

No joke I've always thought AI would be the perfect government entity. Had it at the back of my mind for years, even wanted to write a dystopian book about it. To my dismay someone beat me to it. A book called Scythe, it's YA not particularly how I'd go about it but the bastard stole my book concept. I need to hate read it.
You should have had ai write the book for you ironically :icon lol:

-Direct democratic federal system rooted in Islamic/Somali values

-Decentralized clan-based governance where each region has a high degree of control over its own affairs

-Cooperative market-driven/industrial economy

Don't agree with bahdil man. No one is naturally docile imo, just the systems in place to separate people.
Not saying we should discriminate nor do I condone it but in the old days it was a harsh system of patronage, they were tied/associated to a clan or a family and they could and often be inherited like property, a father could pass them onto his son or a brother to his other brothers.

for centuries they were placed in a servile position and this naturally made them docile, I mean it in that context. That’s all.

What I'm trying to say is them being docile is a reflection of circumstance not nature. Its their survival strategy in the face of long term marginalization. Trust me if they had power they'd absolutely have it in them.

I see, but then how would you explain their present circumstances in this day and age, where all minorities in somalia are relatively better off than their ancestors? Why haven’t they organised like other minority groups? In terms of sheer numbers they're quite large.

Can you give me the names of the minority groups you're referring to just as a reference?

Bantus, tumaal, RX, etc etc
I'm not gonna claim to be well informed but what I know is Tumaal are seen as having a low status job but still functioning to society and are able sort of maneuver socially. For Bantus my guess is they're more concentrated in the south so its easier to form community based structures. Reer Xamar have trading history and were sort of already established.

Mahdiban in contrast are scattered in small pockets of isolated communities, no political capital, their clan is denied full clan status. Not to mention the probable psychological stuff they might face. All in all no resources no leverage.

Nothing will work. if I was PL president, I will create a hard border, separate currency and anthem. I would only allow freedom of trade. Everything else is waste of time. We will still be arguing about the same things 40 yrs from now. We are emotionally people who won't admit anything.
