it doesnt matter if AA dont consider u black, u r black and therefore apart of their struggle.

Aren't you from the UK? Black lives matter doesn't exist here, the police don't target black people here like they do in America. I could understand if an American Somali was saying this cos you're right some will see them as black.

I remember in high school black guys saying yeah you aren't black. If for them to class me as black my ancestors had to be forcefully shipped to another continent then nah I'll pass. I'd rather be lilac or green.

You are deluded, why is it all black people have to be the same yet the Asians & Europeans embrace their diversity. What you've just said is similar to you going up to a Sri Lankan & saying you are Asian so you & your afghans are apart of the same struggle.

I do agree Africa is a very diverse continent. People throughout the world tend to look at it as a monolith, which in many ways is exclusive. There is not one True Authentic African. People like @bilan M and @goldink They are just people who are influenced by the west and tend to look at things through a Eurocentric reality, hence why they are so fond of color based identities. which i regard to be very illogical to be honest.

I can't really blame them when the mainstream academics & media today push this flawed paradigm of Black and White.. You will see terms like ''Black Africa'' thrown around but never ''White Europe'' Or ''Brown & Yellow Asia'' Even a term like ''Sub-Saharan Africa'' which has no historical or linguistical, poltical, economic merit to it.

So i can kinda understand this weird identity crisis many of these Pro Adoon somalis tend to develope due to this especially for those who live in the west. But ultimately this term ''Black'' is mainly pushed by the ''Self Loathing'' diaspora who rather want to be just an empty abstract color than to reconnect with their homeland, that is the depth of their self hatred

I get it, it's easier for you to fit in & assimilate into the society if you live in America when you identify yourself as AA.

Yeah easier to assimilate into failure, gang culture, drugs and violence & opposition towards school maybe. Easier to fit into the category of marginalized other and some sort of degrading stereotype.

I concur whole heartedly, I find the word black in the English language to carry many negative connotations unlike the word white which has many positive ones. Words are spells thats where the word spelling derived from, likewise I don't identify my self as black but I do identify with my fellow Africans in the diaspora & back home in the motherland. I don't see why all Africans should be lumped together & called black when other races embrace their diversity.

You have to be well versed in esoteric knowledge to grasp what I'm saying.
Searched about that and there might be some truth to what you're saying.
:hmm:

Also, The Prophet (sallal-laahu alayhi wasallam) said:

”Indeed some eloquent speech has the influence of magic”(e.g., some people refuse to do something and then a good eloquent speaker addresses them and then they agree to do that very thing after his speech) (Bukhari Vol 7. Hadith No: 5146)

Are you fluent in legalese?

Xamarawi since you're studying law, I take it that you're well versed in legalese?
No, I've merely come across it but I didn't delve in to it as I don't intend to learn law to mastery but I just wanted to familiarise myself with it. Mainly law regarding finance and commerce. Nice one for the information though.

So you know the difference between admiralty law & the law of the land?

Do you know the difference between legal & lawful?

In legalese what does the word 'understand' mean?

Imagine governing a whole country & you impose admiralty law on them cause they unknowingly give you their consent cause you use the same language as them but the words have a very different meaning.
