When did Somalia die as a country

We transitioned from being Africans first democrats (The first African nation to seamlessly transition from one president to another - Aden Adde to Sharmarke) to being a dictatorship in 1969. That is a major jump and deterioration. Then 1991 was the nail in the coffin.

There are a few things to mention however: The civil war technically began in 1978 post-Ogaden, because by definition 1991 was anarchy, it transcended warfare given no one was at the helm.

- 1969 itself didn't actually cause harm and looking at reports at the time, public welcolmed it given the clandestine and corrupt nature of the democratic govt at the time (grass is always greener). Kacaan was pretty successful for about a decade until 1978, then 15 years of civil war turned anarchy.

- Every nation goes through political turmoil and difficulties, but 1991 was a special case of unruly behaviour by moryaans who essentially made us the face of destitution and disruption politically.

- Siyaad Barre ripped the social fabric of society, Aideed burnt the remnants. Both of their roles in destroying Somalia go hand-in-hand.

1991 was the point Somalia would go into self-destruction however.

I think that's a big stretch about Siyad.

Their were remnants from the corrupt 1960 to 1969 Era which is no different to what you see with HSM today and his governance, these ppl pressured siyad to turn away from kacaan principles(equality for all, merit based, no more landheere n langaab preferences), these ppl were across every somali clan not just darod but hawiye and isaaq. They hated somali lineages across all clans who would never survive in the nepotism of 60 to 69 were given positions.

They were so angry that non prominent clans across all clans could hold onto positions due to talent, skill, merit so they cooked up anti siyad rebellion. They were known as kacandiid who wanted to revert to 1960 to 1969 status quo and like I said that is what u see rite now in HSM era who adores that era cause the ungifted are successful due to lineage. Kacandiid hated members in their own clan who could succeed on talent and skill and thru merit. Their scum who try to act like it was about clan injustice to sell it to their clansmen.

Trust me every clan had parents who were successful in siyad govt, they know what the rebels were about, in iyaga loo jeeday.

What all non prominent lineages in each sub clan need to do is unite due to shared interest and re create kacaan principle of equality, talent, skill and merit being the only rule of law not this failed idea I'm a landheere and EVERY OTHER jifi is langaab in my clan so I should get everything. I would entertain joining such movement.

But ppl like @Libaax-Joore is a kacandiid because he hated my family were diplomats while his uncle was in prison calling for a return to 60 to 69 corruption which is the same as U see with HSM. U really don't think across all clans their r libaaxjoore who feel entitled, well they do, it's inside hawiye, darod, dir, rahanwayn. It's just some of U idiots actually sold off your interest n well being to their clan nonsense while if I had my time I'd just look at them like this
