There would be no need for a war against Somaliland, unless they show clear aggression and atrocities against civilians. If Somalia goes to war then we'll be depicted as the aggressors and so the international community will side with Somaliland, that would be disastrous for unification. Somalia just needs to develop it's economy, military, reform and standardise government, increase food production, etc. Of course that will take time, however, in the process we'll rely less and less on aid and so we'll become self-sufficient. The people of Somaliland will see our nation prosper, then see their so called nation being isolated from the world. The people will start to abandon this idea of secession and call for Somaliweyn. Standing up to Kenya and Ethiopa would be a great thing too as that will indicate that Somalia is not weak and feeble nation that can be controlled by it's neighbours.

Exactly sxb. Look at what happened in the Second Schleswig War, Austro-Prussian War and the penultimate Franco-Prussian War. Prussia showed that it could protect the German people from it's neighbours, I don't see why Somalia can't do the same, once it's able to sort itself out

If it wasn't for Cigaal disarming all clan militias, Somaliland would have had a civil war that was much more brutal and devastating than the south.

A thing a lot of people don't know is Musa Bixi was fired by Cigaal for his instigation of the conflict, but was reinstated due to equitable clan representation. Just shameful really.
