Xaliimo is a pretty name, it is also a name that many Somali girls have, so it became a stereotypical name for Somali girls. Kind of like how "Abdi" is a stereotypical name for Somali guys since you have a ton of them with names starting with Abdi (Abdiaziz, Abdifatah, Abdirahman, etc).
You had a lot of Somali girls supporting the BLM movement a few years back, so that's how the term "BLM Xaliimo" came about. It is used in reference to a Somali girl who is obsessed with racial activism, even to the point where she supports madows over her own fellow Somalis.
A lot of xalimos have a strong sense of justice and need to bring up world issues about peoples suffering around the world . This label stemmed from 2020 Black Lives Matter movement where a lot of xalimos chose to spread awareness and try or became a voice in Black Lives Matter movement ( since we are black ).
However they got a lot of heat rightfully for exposing our issues to the rest of the world . They also attracted a lot of hate for their need address all world issues yet be radio silent on somali issues .
Another factor is there has been a disturbing reoccurrence of them being comfortable with madows dissing us and making fun of our people while being comfortable and not try to defend us but yet feel the need to expose our ceeb to the world.
This coming from an unbiased person so that take that as you will
