Bro Montreal is dogshit. Crumbling roads, crippling Quebec govt regulations and a weak af provincial economy. Try the Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver areas. Not necessarily in the actual city but try live in the area.

London is a university town only,

Halifax actually has some cheap real estate so I'd think about it if you're already an educated professional thinking about home ownership in the next 10 years

Edmonton and Calgary are enslaved to oil prices

And Quebec City is a worse version of Montreal

Montreal has been in a shit spiral since all the business packed up and left for Toronto. The Quebec independence movement killed Canada's former greatest city and its stuck in Toronto's shadow now for the foreseeable future. Until Quebec can really open its doors instead of being white quebecois nationalists no one will want to lay down roots there.

Majority of the middle class will continue emptying out of Toronto due to the current living standards. The young educated white middle class folk have already started leaving in droves. They are buying 4 bedroom detached homes for 300-600k in majority white towns. That amount would be barely enough for a one bedroom condo in a nice part of Toronto.
