J word and Jileec are extremely confusing terms tbh. Most ethnic somalis have curly hair anywhere from 3b/c to even 4c. You can see for yourself the afros on Somali nomads or the afro style common among Somali youngsters in the 80s. That's stereotypical African hair.We may have softer hair than other Africans on average and many people with wavy/straight hair but most ethnic somalis aren't like that . We have a variation of hair texture and I'll be unipolar but most people tend to be on the type 4a side

No Somalis have 4c hair if you are ethnically Somali max I would say is 4b. Tbh Somalis come in a variety of hair types so saying we are more like one hair type is wrong. I'd say we have a even split but everything is dependent on who you see day to day.
