@menace Intelligence is partly acquired from the environment it's not entirely inborn, you must work at it. You could have a lot of potential but if it's never realized, then it's a waste. I'm sure everyone here has a talent/skill in some/ multiple domain(s) and areas that are in need of improvement. That's part and parcel with being human.

I'm a good observer and I've observed a lot of individuals over the years. Some people are book smart while being a complete Nacas on simple real life situations.

There are others who are just average but who have the drive and will to accomplish.

Not everyone has it together, sxb. And just because someone is masterful at acquiring and/or synthesizing information, skills and knowledge, does not make them great at dealing with new and dynamic real life situations. That doesn't mean you can't be great at both. And you can increase your baseline from average to above if you apply yourself consistently. I'll say it again - attitude beats aptitude.
