I wasn’t unemployed enough to count them one by one but there was a lot.

I've heard of giraffes in NFD, seems like they also crossover into Gedo. There's ostriches, too. Don't know about elephants though, Maroodi Jeex might have been named after an old elephant crossing. I've heard reports of lions in the Maroodi Jeex and Hawd regions 50+ years ago.
