I simply wish to name my first daughter after my beloved mother. Wife can name all the other children in exchange.

Since my husband is the one carrying the baby for 10 months, going through the nausea, the swollen feet, the weird cravings at 2 a.m., enduring the sleepless nights, the labor pains, and finally giving birth; not to mention breastfeeding for 2 years, dealing with post-baby hair loss, pelvic problems, and navigating postpartum emotions….oh wait, that’s me doing all of that. And since he automatically gets to give them their middle and last name, I’ll definitely be the one naming the kids.

Im choosing all the names that the kids will be known by the outside world, however my wife will give all of them a 2nd name. Traditionally we had 2 names, only found out my adeers government name last year.

Win-win situation.

My take is that the mother should be naming the kids and if she’s generous enough to ask him his opinion, then he should be thankful.
