I haven't spoken to any of my friends for months now, I've been ignoring everyone and some people are mad at me for it. I'm very school minded but I haven't cared this whole semester and my will to be successful isn't there. I don't know what I do everyday and I feel like I'm just cruising by everyday, dying to go to bed. Overall, I'm just sad all day everyday.

My mom ain't making it any easier.

How is your diet abaayo? You might have low vitamin d and iron levels. Start eating more supplements like magnesium, vitamin d, zinc and iron. Still, best way to grt these nutrients is through your diet.

As a student, I know it aint easy to cook food always. Meal prep your food or do easy ones. I like to make chicken with tortillaand and vegetables. I also eat a lot of eggs.

Talk to your friends and family too. School is important but life aint nothing without them. Talk to them now. You will feel instantly happy trust me.

May Allah ease your affairs abaayo and guide you to do what’s best for your iimaan iyo caafimaad. You are in a challenging situation. The people mad at you don’t see the reality of your situation. They should be more empathetic but maybe they don’t know better or don’t care to do better. Allah knows best. In my humble opinion, I would say don’t worry too much about people who think that way. May Allah guide them to be merciful to others.
Can you clarify some things?
Did the school situation happen first or did you lose touch with others first?
Did something happen to cause the change in your social circle?
Any changes to your sleep, eating or physical activity levels? How has your salah been?

Expose yourself to sun light for a long period of time, buy some organic cacoa and mix it with hot milk, that has all the nutrients your body needs (iron, magnesium, zinc, B Complex) in its natural state.

Get Vitamin D spray if your in an area with little sun but make sure you go out regardless you need the fresh air, indoor air has atrocious quality that effects your mood, make sure you take Vitamin D with cacoa, you need calcium and magnesium to absorb it properly

On the spiritual side, listen to Quran with English translation on YouTube, that will cure you pretty fast and make this a regular routine.

Once you feel better start incorporating excercise and keep that blue print

Given your tom boyishness genes, it could be low iron, low Vitamin D, not showering that much. All this with a bad self esteem could cause havoc. Other fix is- live a truthful life. Yes - we can;t see what u r upto but God can. So start living as if God will yell at you when u do a naughty thing.

Read this Prophetic Dua inshallah , sadness is dangerous and as one can glean from this Hadith, could lead to indolence, inactivity and possibly eventually debt

This isn't uncommon considering that (1) we're in a post-pandemic recovery, (2) you're probably a student in transition from high school to university (a first year). Mental health concerns are very pronounced from what I have seen in this demographic (greater now than pre-2020). I often make time for students because I know it's difficult for them.

It is not unusual to feel cast adrift in a new place, with different faces and perhaps not feel a sense of routine as you would have as a high school senior. That sense of mastery isn't there; you are learning the rules of the game and probably don't have someone to guide you.

Academic pressure and the need to perform make students feel exceptionally nervous. They often tell me their ambitions for a professional school (medicine/law) or graduate school. Hence, grades matter, and they feel disheartened when they aren't meeting their expectations. Therefore, I never treat students based on their grade point average/performance (which is subject to change). Rather I consider them more of a whole student/person with a life that extends beyond the walls of academia and instead choose to focus on their behaviour.

It's easy to feel like a student number only, particularly if you're not engaged with on-campus activities. Academic motivation can dip if you're not feeling 100%. And it's perfectly fine if you aren't. Unfortunately, many folks never vocalize this to others or engage in self-denial. Consider looking into the mental health resources available at your university/college. Or think of volunteering for a worthwhile organization to feel more connected. It may help.

Three things will help you:

1. Listen to Quran

2. Exercise, or even just walking

3. And write down goals and plans you want in the future.
