It's been clear most users here or on social media are depressed or with other mental health concerns. You should deal with it when you're as young as possible because if left unchecked, it will ravage you when you get older. It will not go away on its own.

Go to the gym, seek a therapist, eat healthy, check your bloodwork, treat yourself once a week, cut off toxic/disrespectful people or limit conversations with them, stay away from any addictions whether it's drugs or social media, go to the library and check out a book every couple of weeks, volunteer weekly somewhere like the food bank, sign up and get involved with a group of your interest and create a structured mental schedule for yourself. You should know on Saturday what you are doing on 6pm on a Tuesday.

Where is Salat and Zakat?

She is clearly someone that is religious or very Islam-conscious considering many of her posts are about Islam and contributes to the Islam section, yet she still created this thread. What does that tell you? I obviously didn't need to tell her to focus on the deen when she already does. It would be useless advice. Religion alone doesn't work. Religion and spirituality is just one focus that works alongside the dozen other things you must do.

@Basra you are a good person but you need to broaden your thinking and the other solutions that exist when it comes to the mental health crisis in the community, which is worse than other communities. You are likely the oldest person here and although you appear to have grown up in the west, you sound like typical aunt in the community who came to the west yesterday. Theres a reason why the Muslim community in the US are two times more likely to attempt suicide compared to other faith or godless groups. It's because, and I say this with respect and appreciation for you, your kind of narrow thinking that has infected the community.

Expose yourself to sun light for a long period of time, buy some organic cacoa and mix it with hot milk, that has all the nutrients your body needs (iron, magnesium, zinc, B Complex) in its natural state.

Get Vitamin D spray if your in an area with little sun but make sure you go out regardless you need the fresh air, indoor air has atrocious quality that effects your mood, make sure you take Vitamin D with cacoa, you need calcium and magnesium to absorb it properly

On the spiritual side, listen to Quran with English translation on YouTube, that will cure you pretty fast and make this a regular routine.

Once you feel better start incorporating excercise and keep that blue print

Suprise your still alive mate .

Cheers

Are you also going to deny the study that shows Arab Muslim Americans have higher rates of anxiety and depression than other minority groups too? Or the 2/3 of young British Muslims who have had suicidal thoughts? Im flabbergasted that you of all people who posted a thread telling people you were suicidal and depressed are trying to find holes only because of your excessive pride for the larger group. I think I'll keep quiet on this topic from now on. Good luck to you.

Always have something to look forward to at the end of the day. Sport highlights, a book, side project, favorite meal/desert with tv series.
Most importantly seek knowledge amd go deep into what your learning. Don’t indulge in fun stuff to much. You wont enjoy the little things.

I'm just challenging the authenticity of the article you cited. I've seen pew research showing Muslims had the lowest rates of suicide of all religious groups so I doubted your claim on that basis.

I do find it funny when people say read more Quran or its all qadr. Once when I was in Somalia my mother was in an argument with this women who claimed she could walk in the middle of the street and not worry about being hit by a vehicle because it was already predetermined.

Your mother sounds like how i used to be. My argument was- why do African American have to pray on everything? Like crossing the road to McDonalds. My point was- save your prayers.

But i was wrong. Yes pray all the time. And yes don't worry, qadr will happen no matter what
