i would say Knaan but he doesn't exist to me at this current moment. theres also the fact that the weeknd and drake aren't muslims, and muslims frown upon literally everything they do. there are canadians somalis who do rap and sing but they never catch a break since their people don't support them. theres tones of us who have potential but were told to not pursue those careers by parents and our community.

A shortage of Somali wannabe rappers .in fact there is enough ,but they either rubbish or suck @ marketing or just copy other people .the target audience for any budding Somali rapper would be 15-25 ,those who who are rap fans .one would not expect anybody to be targeting their hooyos or uncles . I think they would get enough support of they were good enough .
