We are not discussing Muslim women here .again I go back to my previous point ,namely that :a shortage of Somali rappers does not exist.somalis have been rapping since the 90s and there many More today due to social media er.a person who is already into rap culture is not hardly going to ask for permission from hooyo.there are many rappers in Canada and a few Somali rappers have emerged out of the UK .what unites them is that they are all truly horrendous and most are unable to spit a hot 64 bar to save there mums canjeelo .you need talent and good marketing to become a rapper .religion and parental support are hardly the issue here .people will get behind your stuff if you have Good bars and can promote it well .you are seriously telling all those hideous rappers from Canada will not make because their religion .what an absolute load of rubbish !believe you men,Somalis love any thing Somali and would get behind a decent Somali rapper .they just done exist.

of course they exist just like gay and atheist somalis exist. the question is will somalis support them? i agree that most of them are trash but there are some good ones out there. they just never get the chance to succeed.

This is true. I don't think I've heard anything fame-level decent from any so-called "Somali rapper", certainly not to the level of the best African Americans artists out there, and typically worse than the worst of African American artists.

This is false. Somalis are the worst critics and "haters" of a Somali artist. Any support is riddled with a much louder cacophony of disapproval, lack of appreciation (perhaps rightfully due to above point), and outright insult and disdain due to religion, community/culture and family support barriers.

The music industry isn't comparable to the modeling industry. The modeling industry isnt so in ur face, they aren't as visible or mainstream. If our models were music artists, the level of insult/disapproval/haterism in our communities would increase a million fold.
