Puntland was founded as an autonomous state in 1998 and a political vanguard against possible centralism. It became a federal state post 2012 but its claim on SSC is based on tribe as it shows in the 1998 charter, whether Somaliland exists or not would not make that any different.

All federal state forming in Somalia are clan based, Galmudug Hiirshabeele, South West and Jubbaland, the difference with Puntland is it is the only one that exists de facto.

Your emotional appeal to something that doesn't exist is something you may trick the one eyed moryaan with but Somalia is exclusively a clan based society your sudden faux nationalism fall on deaf ears when you sleep among wolves. Your system has already failed it was called Somalia. Federalism is an unimplemented system but Puntland proves that it provides stability. Puntland is a clan state which is the entire basis of its existence.

You are appealing to emotion rather than rationale because the reunification you are talking about is Dir with the rest of Somalia not Somaliland with Somalia. Once you look past the facade and view the situation pragmatically you will understand that we live in a clan based society.

The point at hand right now and here is that you don't have any more right to SSC than Puntland particularly given what society we live in. You are blaming Puntland for your own failures but now we live in the digital age and every time you people insult and undermine Darod it ends straight up on Facebook and Whatsapp that's why your smoke mirror is fading.

Ultimately you might be surprised I agree with you that for SL to be successful they have to do more and better to accommodate and place the Darood people of the east into the political project like they did with the dir of the West. However in this day and age we ought to move beyond clan enclaves and so SL positon is a better deal for the SSC than puntland of Somalia in which they will be junior partners (in puntland) to junior partners (puntland in FGS).

PL's qabilism is ultimately a retrograde step for somali people (back to precolonial status) than SL which is aiming for a multiclan democracy an inherently more progressive state
