There are many events and Quranic verses that talk about the characteristics of the Bedouins, and this is due to their ignorance and that they are arrogant and love wars and killing.

1-Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah As-Salami: A bedouin gave the Pledge of allegiance for embracing Islam to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), and then he got an attack of fever in Medina and came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ): and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Cancel my pledge." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) refused to do so. The bedouin came to him again and said, "Cancel my pledge," but he refused again, and then again, the bedouin came to him and said, "Cancel my pledge," and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) refused. The bedouin finally went away, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Medina is like a pair of bellows (furnace), it expels its impurities while it brightens and clears its good.'

2-Narrated 'Abdullah Al-Muzani: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not be influenced by bedouins regarding the name of your Maghrib prayer which is called `Isha' by them."

3-It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “The testimony of a Bedouin against a town-dweller is not permissible.”

4-Abu Hurayra said, "There are seven major wrong actions. The first of them is to associate things with Allah, then killing someone, slandering chaste women, and going back to live as a Bedouin after having made hijra."

5-Narrated Abi Mas'ud: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "From this side from the east, afflictions will appear. Rudeness and lack of mercy are characteristics of the rural bedouins who are busy with their camels and cows (and pay no attention to religion). Such are the tribes of Rabi'a and Mudar."

6-Narrated Tawus: Ibn `Abbas said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the meeting of caravans (on the way) and ordained that no townsman is permitted to sell things on behalf of a bedouin." I asked Ibn 'Abbas, "What is the meaning of his saying, 'No townsman is permitted to sell things on behalf of a bedouin.' " He replied, "He should not work as a broker for him."

What do you guys think? Do you agree? There are many rulings in Islamic faqh about nomads and the things they are allowed to do.
30% of Somalis are still nomads, and in the 1970s it was 80%

I'm not versed in Hadith, but 4) could be a metaphor "going back to your old life, after you fixed certain things about yourself" almost like saying in modern day terms, "getting fat again, after you lost allot of weight" & 6) could mean in terms of riba, and The Prophet (ﷺ) really hated middle men, and working as a broker between a caravan and Bedouin can be sinful. "you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly Surat An-Nisā' 4:29"

I personally think there is nothing wrong with nomads, even through somali GDP for the past 35 years came from the agriculture and livestock. the west convinced us they are backwards, while selling us the same foods somalis can produce internally.

remember a society that cant feed themselves will always be victims of international parties.

I think there needs to be balance between nomads and city people. Too many nomads or too many city people could be detrimental.

that pertains to those times, the point is bedouins have a certain lifestyle, and our religion and success relies on educated hard working ppl build a society, the sahaba didn't conquer the biggest nations in the world by living in the desert with camels being content with that type of Muslim, no they were in the city in the wars engaged with their society improving it and contributing
going back to being a bedouin after being honoured with religious knowledge and power and money would be a bad thing

The fourth hadith means that you return to the nomadic life after becoming a city dweller.
The farmer is considered sedentary and not a pastoralist. Rather, the Messenger praised farmers but disparaged herders, especially camels

Most of the Companions were not nomads, but rather were from settled agricultural Arab tribes

Educate yourself about the term "Bedouin": Somalia has never had Bedouins, and categorizing Somali nomads as such is utterly misguided
Bedouins and Nomads are the same thing. Educate yourself. the Prophet means people who live in a dry environment and depend on their animals Whether it is Arabic. Or Somali or Turkish, he is a Bedouin » nomads

The Nomads are of no benefit to the state because they do not recognize the law, and the state's lives are built on plunder and the war And they are devoid of mercy

I agree, when viewed from a broader historical perspective, both groups lacked formal "citizenship." In European history, the concept of "freehold land" was prevalent, though not universal, until the 1700s. As land ownership became more regulated, being a nomad or Bedouin became crime. and finally with colonialism they forced none-Europeans to accept land ownership laws as a reality.

In my opinion, nomads live a more righteous life, and we should respect their lifestyle.

Ibn Majah reported the following from Jabir's narration, "A woman is never to lead a man in prayer, neither a bedouin to lead an emigrant, nor a sinner to lead a believer."

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade to eat (the meat of animals) slaughtered by the nomads for vainglory and pride.

These are other hadiths about the Nomads who live on pasture, a nomadic life,is not desirable in Islam
