Anti-east africanness or whatever they call it is very real. A lot of west africans/ados have some deep seated hatred against us. Anytime we speak about our culture, history and genetics they become defensive. A lot of us acknowledge the anti-blackness/colourism that exists in our community. I even call out other somalis that use the j word or call people monkeys, yet these people still got some hate for us. It’s just jealousy now cause we have one culture, deen and low mixing rates, so they envy that.
