Why can't I read books?

Take small 5min breaks after every 30min or 45min of reading. It helps with 'recharging' focus.

NO, he starts reading and then half way down the page he zones out and another thought creeps into his mind and takes over but he is still reading the page. Once he has finished reading the page he doesn't remember what he has read and the new thought has taken over. :O27GWRK:

I re-read the page, then do the same for another 10 pages. It's like i've read a 100 pages and I'm pooped with a sore brain.

Try to pay close attention to key words and summarise what the text is about. Form arguments in your mind and come to conclusions with whether you agree with the author or not. Don't just read everything it says without putting any thought in to it.
