I think back then yemen was a staunch communist country that sided with russia rather than ethiobia per se. Their contribution was negligible i think i read that there were only 2000 yemeni volunteers or soldiers. In regard to yemenis in somali i don't know much about them. How many yemenis are there in somalia? If i have to guess i would say less tha 500 thousand but could be more.
We need to deport them.

How can you call for the deportation of some poor refugee families who fled with their lives from a terrible war, where is your conscience or are you this blinded by racism and chauvinism. Yemen also took in more than 200 000 somali refugees after the civil war, is this how you want to repay them

I think the Somalis there should be sent back as well. I don't want foreigners but we can't do that if we're in their country.
Let them bring those Somalis back. We do not need foreigners in our country. Deport them all.
why are you against the presence of some foreigners? You know people from different places used to always trade and live in Somali cities like mogadishu and so on since ancient times. Its funny and kinda sad how you hooyo matalo want to deport all refugees and foreigners in Somalia and dream of some kind of ethnostate while living as refugees in the west
That's exactly my dream, If the US would deport me and pay for my ticket I'm fine with that. We will found ethnostate where only Somalis live. I'm against the presence of foreigners because we aren't in the position to hold refugees, why doesn't KSA or UAE or Oman hold these why us? We are in the midst of constant daagal and you want refugees coming to us?

In the cold war era, there was NATO vs WARSAW; the former was led by the US & UK, and the latter by USSR. Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen, Cuba, and many European nations including East Germany etc., were all part of the WARSAW Alliance.

WARSAW Alliance gave Siyad Barre an ultimatum: halt your advances, take the whole of Somali Galbeed, and pull out, or burn out. He chose the later.
Somalia was given 48 hours to pull out, and was then expelled by USSR (tanks & planes), Yemen (war planes), Cuba (foot soldiers), and others.
So, blame your obtuse leaders, not Yemen, or anyone else.

Most of the refugees don't come to Somalia and I never said I want Somalia to take all refugees, but its you who is calling to deport the ones that are already here. Where do you even want them to deport to, do you want to force the families with women and children back to a warzone like yemen, as no country is just gonna take them from us? Aren't you muslim, where are you morals?
And by the way, creating an ethnostate is incompatible with our islamic values, take your ideas you copied from white gaalo racists somewhere else

When you say "take the whole of Somali Galbeed" would they have allowed him to annex it? Or am I reading this wrong.
Alot of the somalis in yemen have returned i believe no more than a few thousand remain and they have businesses there in yemen so they cant exactly just leave

Just place the border at its original perimeter before the Europeans viz France, UK, and Italy, added Somali Galbeed to Ethiopia to protect their train routes to Jibouti.
Yemenis are racist to Somalis whilst their refugees are in our country. Eye for an Eye.

Somalia for Somalis, also that's different when it comes to the West. Somalis send plenty of remittance to the people back home and also we don't have cadaans moving to our country. But as a rule of thumb, we shouldn't be mass moving to nearby countries i.e. Arab countries unless we want them moving to ours which we don't.
