Christian Arabs are particularly interesting. They heavily aligned themselves with pan-Arabism back in the day but now often identify as "Assyrians," which is ironic because Sunni and Shia Arabs in the Levant share just as much genetic connection to that ancient civilization.
This stems from historical envy. Persia has a rich and remarkable history that was abruptly overshadowed, and many Iranians seem eager to align with "white culture." While Northern Mediterranean people lean on Christianity as a bridge to Western identity, Persians tend to distance themselves from Islam. They adopt what they perceive as ancient Persian culture, infuse it with a Westernized perspective, and claim it as their authentic heritage.
These cultures are self loathing. I would categorize Indians similarly. In these societies, if a woman dates a basement-dwelling white incel, it’s celebrated. To them, it’s an affirmation of belonging to "white" culture.

If this ain't the sad goddamned truth. Reminds me of a story from irl where a Desi dude an Iranian friend of mine knew chose this cadaan girl over a fellow Desi girl who liked him. Now, I'm not one to shame people for their looks but lets just clinically state that the cadaan girl was morbidly obese and also, on top of that, not pleasant to be with (I think abusive, if I recall) yet the Desi girl was smart, nice, a good friend to him, well-accomplished, fit and beautiful. But nope... cadaan woman is "goddess". It's really sad and pathetic how much they worship cadaans. I don't even hate cadaans or nothing. They're just bin adan to me which only adds to how gross it is when people coon for them like this.
