Why do we men have receding hairlines if our ancestors always had amazing afros?

True but two brothers can eat the same diet they’ve been accustomed and one can have good hair and the other starts to lose his from 15 years old. I’ve seen it. My theory is the diet for sure, western diet is not compatible with our bodies and it’s creeped into the communites the last 50 years. Not a surprise we also have low iron, low vitamin D, high diabetes rates as well as sinus issues in which I brought out last month

I don’t think it’s receding hairlines. Almost all my male relatives including myself have no hair loss, and none of the really old men have hair loss either. We just got a hairline that’s naturally further back, and not a receding one as far as I know. It’s just more obvious cause we don’t grow out as much.

Also important to note that these are basically the same handful of pics thrown around whenever someone wants to show Somalis in the “old days”. While they’re great photos, they are all mostly staged by white photographers in order to show off “exotic” peoples. Same reasoning for taking a group of Somalis and parading them around the US in an ethnic zoo and forcing them to dress up culturally

  • Reduce stress with simple and small lifestyle changes
Experiencing frequent bouts of anxiety can be a reason behind your hair loss. If you feel stressed or overwhelmed at any point, spend some time doing something that makes you happy.
  • Eat your meals that are vitamin and fiber-rich.
Poor diet plans can be the main reason behind receding hairline. All you have to do is balance your diet plan by adding more vegetables and fruits to your diet plan for hairline regrowth.
  • Hair back massage
Regular scalp massage can improve the hair’s growth and thickness. It is specifically shown in men with male pattern baldness. Try out the handheld device by AHS India for a soothing massage at home.

I don't think somalis had majestic hair back then, those are just really nice photos. Diet and lifestyle is a part of it but you're holding those ancient somalis to high of a standard.

Baldness existed in the past, but at least it used to happen in the thirties, but now it happens to Somali men after 22. The reason, in my opinion, is anxiety. Our ancestors did not think much and had long hair for most of their lives This reduces the appearance of baldness.
