These people tend to be wealthy business people in the West but their country of origin are poor and extremely corrupt. Maybe they are good businessmen but terrible politicians?
Why do you think "smart" people like the Lebanese and Indians produce poor and corrupt societies?

I think values has something to do with it, like democracy and human rights. Both of these drives a person to improve society for everyone.
- They send their best abroad and keep the trash ones at home
- They usually have political instability so these countries are less likely to develop financially as well
- Strong family unit within the culture. Very overbearing families (not always a good thing, but for immigrants it usually is)
- Extreme culture of capitalism. Meanwhile this over 40 Somali gen grew up with handouts from Siad
You also can’t say Indians are bad politicians they’ve been head of state in multiple countries now
