why does every black activist live in the west

i was seeing a bunch of tweets from black people talking about the treatment of their workers in lebanon and they also brought up the ukraine traine thing, but then i look at their profiles and they all live in the UK or somewhere in the US or europe, and never in their home countries, its amusing.

Because they;re hypocrites, no one cares about black Africans, least of all black africans themselves. They have no pride in their nation and all want to leave. Just look at the FOBs on TikTok and Facebook, all they talk about is tahriib, Group 5, leaving their nation.

its not amusing. Its a fact. They live in the west and have the privilege to speak for the voiceless impoverish Africans who have no time for leisure of opinion exercising. They are busy chasing their daily ugali.

There are activists in Black countries, you are just more aware of the ones in the west because of the language barrier and exposure. Also because they are professionals they tend to be more educated on matters and what is going on.

And for those who migrate to the west, they do it for economic reasons and a promise of a better economic situation, it's no different anywhere else, It doesn't mean they dislike their country or they lack pride. You see Somalis back migrate for the same reasons. It doesn't mean they don't stop advocating for their own as soon as they leave their country.

The truly broken are the ones that spend time maligning and forsaking their own.

I suppose the small Somali population in New York doing political activism for Somalia/Ogaden in the 60s is because they don't want to live in Somalia

They were actually Somali students sent out by the government to get training and return home with experiences .A significant group of them were Somalis who migrated to New York in 1920s or before.

Fun fact though, the earliest Somalis in America from 1910s were Sailors and Merchants who settled in NYC who set up businesses, stations, community centers, restaurants and shops. Even helped build the subway stations . Some even ended up partaking in the civil rights struggles of the 1960s

Somalis in NYC were the first African immigrant community in America and the first Muslim group in the United States.

But its proof that people living outside their homeland will do political activism for it, it doesn't mean they don't want to live there. Somalia was peaceful and functional in the early 60s had one of worlds lowest crime rates at the time even.

It's away to gaslight people into submission to frame it that way, to insinuate that's it's because their country is a shit hole or they lack pride.
