Turkish influence is overestimated in Somalia. They do not have the power to keep Gurguurte in office beyond his mandate. The IC led by the US will demand a consensus based approach which means Gurguurte will be forced to come to the negotiating table with all stakeholders on how to conduct the upcoming Presidential election in 2026.
