Why does nobody know how to make Sabaayad

Am i the only one who noticed this? Barely anyone knows how to make it. When there’s an event or family gathering, they call that one hoyo to make it since the other moms don’t know. I’m making this thread because my friend said her mom doesn’t know either and they call that one hoyo in the friend group to make it. Same with my mom.

No it isn’t because of the Hindi dna I’m pretty sure it’s just called chapati in the south but ours is round like Canjeelo, not square shaped like that one

I think I've seen random people across Somalia calling it Chapati also.

But yes, Sabayad is square shaped and delicious sis. Try it if you can, Somali restaurants sell it. It should be soft and flaky.

Yes that is definitely not the same as Sabaayad sis. Sabaayad is not dry and it has layers inside. Like an Indian Paratha!
