Am i the only one who noticed this? Barely anyone knows how to make it. When there’s an event or family gathering, they call that one hoyo to make it since the other moms don’t know. I’m making this thread because my friend said her mom doesn’t know either and they call that one hoyo in the friend group to make it. Same with my mom.

:hmm:

Sabaayad is a local food, same as Muufo Baraawe that's why a lot of Hooyos don't know how to make it. But the majority of Northern Hooyos do know how to make delicious Sabaayad since Sabaayad is consumed by the Northern.

Northern Somalis from Hargeysa, Burco, Berbera, Laascaanood are known to be expert for making Sabaayad! So next time you craving for Sabaayad please go to those who are from the Northern firstπŸ˜‚

I actually learned how to cook Sabaayad during Quarantine and I make it every now and then. Im probably a better cook than 95% of these Somalian ladies ngl

Wow you guys have it good.

I’ve always had chapati by itself with Shaax. Or a lil sugar with the chapati and eat it while sipping shaax.
