Wallahi right, it’s not cute, fckin macawis is new. Acting like they went around butt naked. Other men wear macawiis like pajamas and somalis boldly say it’s our traditional clothes.

How can we be “we wuz kangz and shidt” if we claim indhoyar pajamas as traditional clothes.

Every time I see a Farax wear a macawiis...especially to a traditional event... I die a little more inside.

It is extremely horrendous looking and not our culture. Somali male traditional clothing looks way more regal and pleasing to the eye.

I like our traditional clothing a lot but Somali dudes rarely do it justice but I can't blame them. It would be pretty hard to get ahold of historically accurate accessories like frogs for scabbards and shields. Even for Somali chicks getting things like a xirsi necklace would be tricky.

I hate macawis, since I was a small kid I've never liked or wear macawis.. Not even as a pajamas.
