Why is Johnny Somali called Somali?

I'm sure this is an over discussed topic. However, I can't find any information on this. Why does he csll himself Somali?

There is a video of him claiming he is Oromo and Yemeni but all of a sudden he has a Somali flag and people are claiming he's somali. How did the rumours start?

The lack of reporting on his real ethnicity annoys me. If people did the same to other ethnic groups, many would be angry and it'd be quickly corrected. He's gotten away with this for too long. I do, however, respect the Japanese for mentioning his ethiopian descent. It seems like they have less of a "sensationalism" focus on us

Nobody cares about his ethnicity or blames all Somalis. It's only those who never liked you that would generalise. You should stop implicating our community. Johnny Somali is just a stage name. Nothing to do with us.

Even if we explained to ajnabis that he isn't Somali because of his father's ethnicity most of them would look at us crazy.

They'd still consider him a mixed Somali and wouldn't find nothing wrong with him identifying as Somali.

I agree that most reasonable people behave that way. But I still want to know how he came to being referred to as Somali. I even said that he said was Oromo and Yemeni, therefore not somali so I am not "implicating our whole community ". I simply want to understand the origins of this rumour.

It's very random though. Why Somalia? He even had the country flag in his bio. Did he start claiming somalia or did someone else start it then he kept on with the new title.

It's because people don't care what ethnicity he is and he is a social reject loser in real life. He basically never had any friends growing up and he got excommunicated by his family, so no one comes out publicly to claim that they know him to dispute it or give info on his real background.

He was operating troll account on the web forums called ''JohnnySalami"" and then he remixed it into Johnny Somali to spite Somalis , when he went on his crazed antics.

We only know that he is a fully Ethiopian because people backtracked his twitter and youtube and social media posts to his real handles where he went by ''HabeshaKing" "Habeshacapital" and HabeshaSupremacist''.

He is not half as he claims. Korean police confiscated his phones, prevented him from leaving the country and he is going to spend 7 years in jail for deepfake charges. While he rots in jail after destroying his own life , time will go by and people will forget about it, just like the Logan Paul situation in Japan blew over.

If found guilty of all charges against him. Obstruction of business, the initial charge, can carry a five-year jail sentence, while drug possession which he was being investigated for - could carry a decade-long sentence. If all three were combined, he could be facing up to 22 years in South Korean prisons.

I don't know a worse failure, he went abroad to got beaten up by mobs and now he is going to spend the rest of his life in jail. It should tell you all not to care about about these rejects , they don't actually harm Somalis , they harm themselves.
