If Djibouti, Somaliland, Puntland, and Galdmudug formed a Coalition of the Willing against Al-Shabaab they could wipe them out in a week. Especially with the Somali language advantage that the AMISOM troops don't have. :meleshame::snoop:

Djibouti is actually doing a better job than the other countries in AMISOM. It doesn't take much when the hutus hide in their bases.

You just need to have some agents infiltrate al-shabab and the conflict will be over soon.

Forget about helping, least they can do is have the decency to follow the code of conduct and not take advantage of other regions (Puntland) when they send their troops to the south to help with Alshabaab. Like they did back in 07-08

Probably not in the interest of Somaliland to help. The 75000 active soldiers are meant to keep the peace and protect Somaliland's interests. At least in the eyes of the government.

Is 30,000 Amisom troops not enough?
:comeon:

AMISOM has been in Somalia for 10 years(March of this year marked the 10th year) but they somehow still failed to get rid of Al-Shabaab and it is known as 'everyone's regret'.

Also, if we do what Amun said here:

We would be able to defeat Al-Shabaab. Plus, if Somaliland is doing as great as many people in this forum love to constantly say as well as Somaliland die hard lovers in real life then shouldn't they be able to defeat Al-Shabaab. Also, I noticed it was a bit dodgy how Somaliland barely got attacked by Al-Shabaab in comparison to other parts of Somalia. So, this article helped clear out my confusion

Well, it does make sense why there is not enough support from Somaliland to help Somalia defeat Al-Shabaab. It is a high chance that they are funding Al-Shabaab as they want to be their own control so when Somalia does become vulnerable against Al-Shabaab then this would Somaliland the best opportunity to say that Somalia is weak. No wonder why Somaliland is improving their region so much because they need the international recongnition for when Somalia goes down.

Also, how can Al-Shabaab know the weaknesses of AMISOM? So, even if you do not think Somaliland would betray Somalia like that, there is a 'rat' that knows everything.

The more chaos there is in the South the more likely Somaliland will get recognised in the future once the world realises Somalia is a lost case.

Landers are as incompetent as the rest of Somalis so I doubt there is any conspiracy here.

The last time I checked is that Somaliland is still part of Somalia and there are many maps to confirm this. So, if an evidential issue happens within the country, you have to solve it. It's one thing for a region to be a federal state and is in charge of the issues happening in their region but it is another thing for federal states to not help the national country when it is at stake. For e.g. when something happens to London or Manchester or NYC or Washington DC, every single region helps tackle an evident national problem.

As Al-Shabaab is a national problem, Somaliland should help without any exception. I don't care if you think Somali land is a country or what not but in reality, Somali land is not a country so when Somalia has a problem, they should help.
