The government does not have the ability to prevent them entering the country, which means immigrants are able to legally claim asylum.

The only way you can crack down on unauthorised entry, is if you prevent their entry to the country because once immigrants reach the border, they can submit an asylum claim which has to be recognised by the receiving country.

Somalia should just outsource the processing of asylum claims to the NGOs with the condition that any rejected claims will be deported.

Somalia is not a first world country where it can absorb large numbers of foreigners and give them resources such as housing and Healthcare. their offloading their garbage to suck on our limited resources. When puntites travel to Ethiopia its always our middle class seeking health or scholarship services. when I travelled to Ethiopia on the grounds it was the safest country in africa back in 2012, these oromo scum at the bole airport yelled at me you are somali as if I was some cancer they spotted. No joke them and amhara are total scum. The only civil ppl I saw there was tigray.

More opportunities in Somali cities, we don't do certain jobs, so there is a market opportunity.

Legally, you cannot deport any asylum seeker arrival until their claims are processed and found to be illegitimate. You can arrange for them to go to another country while their claim is processed but that is legally shaky (UK-Rwanda deal or Australia-Malaysia deal).

So unless Somalia has the ability to intercept migrants before they reach the border, they have to process each asylum claim.

Can the government afford the costs of maintaining such a program? No.

Is it sustainable to have an open borders policy that allows people to come in? No.

So we need to have some sort of processing and monitoring. And since we are sort of tied by international law, it only makes sense for them to pick up the bill until we can pay for it.

Somali's don't like doing low wage labor jobs. So there's less competition for them. Somali's all want to work in office's although some can barely read lol. Also Somali's are generous so it attracts beggars.
