I chilled in garoowe for 2 summers so far. I also stayed in Xamar for 2 weeks. One of the things I noticed is the beggars of Xamar are far more bold and almost demanding compared to Garoowe. Although you can't beat Xamar sea breeze weather.

If skint, a student, a dropout, a pauper, or a dole-accustomed numpty still suckling on, or your average wastrel with dependency inclinations, and with no ingenuity, you can not, 'cos you are more of a burden on the locals than an asset. Those doing well outside could easily transfer and establish themselves with ease, as many have done, and are doing.
Worse yet, if not fluent in Somali, or at a minimum proficient, let alone culturally, then you are technically a foreigner.

Yeah of course there are more beggars because the population of is in the millions. So it attracts more people to come even if they are basically poor with nothing
That's one of the biggest issues a person who is a diaspora especially those born and raised in the west face back home. Your always seen as a foreigner and a say wallahi. You will find it hard to fit in and mix with the locals as they always just look at you as an outsider. Unless you just find other diasporas and stick with them it's kinda hard to be a say wallahi back home.

If things stabilises significantly and the economy is stable, developing nicely and industrialisation is happening then I will go back and further contribute with my skills and knowledge.
But if somalia is still the same as it is now then I will just have to wait until I am retired and then go back while also investing in a firearm and combat equipment cause I am not going to allow some cawaan interrupt my peaceful unemployed death in my picture f*cking perfect villa on the beach.

Unless you have perfect health conditions the last thing you'd want to do is move back to somalia. People take their health for granted and a lot of my relatives went back to the west because something happened to them and they didn't have access to medical care

This is how it ought to be, people that decide to eventually move back should be going there with the mindset of contributing to the growth of the nation. It doesn't have to be anything crazy big, it can be something as simple as creating tutoring program that would help a local school, or if you're more into infrastructure a recycling plant for basic plastic/glass. There's an insane amount of opportunities for anyone that has a little bit of vision and entrepreneurship.
Rihanna became a billionaire by addressing a huge gap in the cosmetic world that nobody bothered to address. Imagine if @caanoshaah created some sort of fitness program/gym exclusively for women and corners that market. Who know's maybe the founder of a Somali equivalent of Loblaws (grocer in Canada) or Home Depot might be right here in SSpot.
I wouldnβt return to the Al Shabaab run capital but of course, the northern regions.
Honestly it's much better for people to go back for vacation or to be visiting for business then for them to just go back to retire. Since retirees don't bring much benefit to the country when they move back . Retires are not gonna be transferring skills and knowledge to people back home or buidling the necessary connections to foreign institutions or companies. The Chinese who moved back to China didn't go as retired but as college graduates or people who had been working for several years.

But realistically who has better health. Someone in the west who eats proccessed food or someone back home who barely eats processed food, whose diet consists of fresh camel milk, fresh camel meat and fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms.
Yes the healthcare systems are not as good, but generally the people back home are healthier then people in the west.
